1. What this service is
EXPERT DISPUTE DIY is a free educational tool that helps you review your own credit reports and draft your own dispute, method-of-verification, complaint, and goodwill letters. You are the one exercising your rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. We do not act as your agent, we do not contact credit bureaus or creditors for you, and we are not a credit repair organization performing services on your behalf.
2. No legal or financial advice
Nothing here is legal, financial, or credit counseling advice. Letter drafts are starting points generated by software and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing, correcting, signing, and mailing anything you send, and for the accuracy of every statement you make in it. Consult a licensed attorney for legal advice.
3. No guaranteed results
We do not promise that any item will be deleted, corrected, or updated, or that your credit scores will change. Accurate, verifiable negative information can legally remain on your reports.
4. Your account and your conduct
You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. You agree to use the tool only for your own credit files, and never to submit false statements, forged documents, or disputes about information you know to be accurate. Do not upload Social Security cards or documents containing full Social Security numbers — we do not collect them.
5. Affiliate relationships
Some links in the app — including credit monitoring, mailing services, and credit building products — are affiliate links. We may earn a commission at no cost to you. Those services have their own terms and pricing, and you pay them directly.
6. Availability and changes
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or credit outcomes arising from your use of the service. Because the service is free, our total liability to you is limited to $100.
8. Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
